BIOS Flash Instructions These instructions are for files HPcog_303.exe and HP Cognac_307.zip ONLY! Step 1. Create a boot disk. (DOS or win98) It is best to delete any autoexec.bat and config.sys files from the boot disk so that no drivers are loaded at boot. This is the boot disk I normally use: www.hellasystems.de/ftp/Utilities/BootDisk/DrDos70/drdflash.exe It won't load any drivers and has plenty of room for the bios files. Just run the drdflash.exe file. Step 2. Run the fresnoCognac_307.exe from within Windows. When it asks for the folder to unzip to, be sure it says a:\ Be sure you have enough room on the floppy. You can do this to the boot floppy if you have enough room (about 600k) or use a blank floppy. You should see only the following files on the floppy if you used a blank floppy: bios.rom BIOSupdt.bat ENQUIRE.COM PHLASH.EXE platform.bin readme.txt RelNotes.txt Step 3. Boot from your boot floppy. Step 4. If your bios files are on the boot floppy, run BIOSupdt.bat. If they are on a different floppy, change disks and run BIOSupdt.bat from that disk. km6ti
