Intel® Desktop Board D845GVSR BIOS P19 Compatible with Only Certain Processors With the release of BIOS version P19, the microcode for the Intel® Pentium® 4 and Intel® Celeron® processors based on the 0.18 micron process has been removed due to BIOS space constraints. However, the BIOS microcode support was retained through BIOS version P18. If you are still using the above processors, you should NOT update to BIOS version P19. The complete version number is VA84510A.86A.0052.P19. The 0.18 micron Intel® Pentium® 4 processor range is between 1.30 GHz and 2.0 GHz, with 400 MHz system bus and 256 KB L2 cache size. The 0.18 micron Intel® Celeron® processor range is between 1.70 GHz and 1.8 GHz, with 400 MHz system bus and 128 KB L2 cache size. To identify the processor type on your system, you may download an Intel Processor Identification utility. If the utility identifies your processor to be within the range stated above, it is advised that the system BIOS remain at P18 and below. For future reference on the correct BIOS version for your Intel processor on the Intel® Desktop Board D845GVSR, refer to Supported Processors. ======================================================== PASD BIOS ENGINEERING Intel Corporation, 5200 NE Elam Young Parkway Hillsboro, OR 97124-6497 ======================================================== DATE: March 17th,2004 PRODUCT: D845GLVA / D845GVSR / D845EPI Standard BIOS P19-0052 (Production 19, build 0052) About This Release: • March 17th 2005 • VA84510A.86A.0052.P19.0503162333 • Core Baseline version 01.03.00 • VBIOS build 3364 • UNDI 4.1.10 New Fixes/Features: • This BIOS was optimized to incorporate newer VBIOS and processor update. ======================================================== DATE: September 23rd, 2004 PRODUCT: D845GLVA / D845GVSR / D845EPI Standard BIOS P18-0050 (Production 18, build 0050) About This Release: · September 23rd 2004 · VA84510A.86A.0050.P18.0409222329 · Core Baseline version 01.03.00 · VBIOS build 2759 · UNDI 4.1.10 New Fixes/Features: · Added USB disabled feature. · Updated bad USB device list. · Fixed USB boot hang issue for IOI media bay USB device. · Added latest processor update ======================================================== DATE: September 6th, 2004 PRODUCT: D845GLVA / D845GVSR / D845EPI Standard BIOS P17-0047 (Production 17, build 0047) About This Release: · September 6th 2004 · VA84510A.86A.0047.P17.0409052108 · Core Baseline version 01.03.00 · VBIOS build 2759 · UNDI 4.1.10 New Fixes/Features: · Added JPEG logo support. · Fixed PS/2 devices dropped issue if reset occurred during S1 sleep. ======================================================== DATE: August 12th, 2004 PRODUCT: D845GLVA / D845GVSR / D845EPI Standard BIOS P16-0045 (Production 16, build 0045) About This Release: · August 12th 2004 · VA84510A.86A.0045.P16.0408112353 · Core Baseline version 01.03.00 · VBIOS build 2759 · UNDI 4.1.10 New Fixes/Features: · Fixed PXE boot issue. ======================================================== DATE: July 7th, 2004 PRODUCT: D845GLVA / D845GVSR / D845EPI Standard BIOS P14-0040 (Production 14, build 0040) About This Release: · July 7th 2004 · VA84510A.86A.0040.P14.0407062301 · Core Baseline version 01.03.00 · VBIOS build 2759 · UNDI 4.1.10 New Fixes/Features: · Added latest processor update. · Removed BIS support. · Added new CPU brand string detection algorithm. ======================================================== P13-0038 (Production 13, build 0038) About This Release: · June 25th 2004 · VA84510A.86A.0038.P13.0426042003 · Core Baseline version 01.03.00 · VBIOS build 2759 · UNDI 4.1.10 New Fixes/Features: · Added latest processor update. ======================================================== P12-0037 (Production 12, build 0037) About This Release: · April 14th 2004 · VA84510A.86A.0037.P12.0404132146 · Core Baseline version 01.03.00 · VBIOS build 2759 · UNDI 4.1.10 New Fixes/Features: · Added CPU detection algorithm to block unsupported CPU usage. · Fixed processor string display where non-whole number processor speed will be represented with two decimal places. ======================================================== P11-0035 (Production 11, build 0035) About This Release: · Mar 23rd 2004 · VA84510A.86A.0035.P11.0403221644 · Core Baseline version 01.03.00 · VBIOS build 2759 · UNDI 4.1.10 New Fixes/Features: · Added COM 2 support. · Fixed CPU brand string error for new processors.
