Retail BIOS Flash
07.26.06
I Flashed my T6216 (MSI MS-7207) with
K8NGM2-IL/K8NGM2-L (MS-7207)
V1.5 BIOS Release
using a floppy drive:
a:\Afud408.exe a7207nms.150
No switches
I know the T6216 doesn't come with a floppy but a
floppy connector is available when you open the case
and I plugged one temporary.
I have too many options enabled that I don't know
where to start!
So, anybody who have a MS-7207 in their EMachine and
want to unleashed all the motherboard features, you
have the green light to do it!

Upgrade!
12.26.06
It took about 30
minutes to install the CPU [Athlon 64 x2 4400+
(Toledo)]. It booted right up and is working
normally. I did not even have to upgrade the BIOS
even though eMachines has a newer version on their
support pages.
Addendum: I need
to update this subject. When I installed the X2 CPU
I thought it was working properly as 2 processors
were shown in Device Manager and CPUZ showed it as a
dual core. I later discovered that Task Manager only
showed one CPU. Also, when looking at Computer under
Device Manager, it showed ACPI Uniprocessor, not
ACPI Multiprocessor. I tried the AMD Dual Core
drivers which did not change anything. I also
updated the BIOS to the latest on the eMachines web
site. I was only using one of the 2 cores.
A lot of research showed that a new install of
windows was needed which I did not want to do since
the machine has MCE and restore disks that you
create with the initial set up.
After hours searching google, etc, I found a utility
that changes the processor type from Uniprocessor to
Multiprocssor. It is located at:

The Readme file is
in German, but I took a chance and installed it and
it worked!
I now have 2 working processor graphs showing in
Task Manager and multitasking does not seem to slow
anything down. My 3DMark05 score went up over 100 to
4122. I don't know if that is good or not, but I am
very pleased with the results.
